Where Did The Summer Go?

Welcome to September. I really don’t know where the summer went. It’s been a busy month at work getting all the teachers ready to go back to school but we’re starting to see things slow down now.

This weekend is my boyfriend’s birthday and I can’t believe I havn’t bought him anything yet! That’s what I will be doing today. Thankfully I have some gift ideas.

Besides birthday gifts, there are a few other things I plan on looking for while I’m out. But while I want to go out and buy all the things, at the same time, I don’t want to spend any money.

I’m still trying to pay off my car. I originally planned on having my loan paid off at the end of May which would have been one year since I bought it. But now it’s September and I’m still paying. I only have about $2000 left to go which is really good compared to most people. But I’m behind on my personal goal. I might just take some money out of my savings and get it over with.

I also just found out my cousin is getting married at the end of October and I really want to fly home so I can attend. Flying in Canada is very expensive. Flights are about $600 to fly across Canada so that’s another reason I don’t want to spend too much right now. I haven’t bought my tickets yet but I have some flight alerts set up to see if any deals come my way.

I had planned on going home in October already for Thanksgiving (although I hadn’t really told anyone that yet) and had been watching prices around that time. They only went down $100 during the time I was watching and then quickly went back up. I’m scared that if I wait too long they’ll go way up so I don’t know how long I should wait until I buy.

That’s all my news for right now. I am going to try and start posting more now but you’ve all heard that before.
