Candy Cane Lane

One of my favourite things to do at Christmas is look at all the houses lit up. When I moved to Edmonton three years ago I kept hearing about a place called Candy Cane Lane and have been visiting every year. Usually it’s so cold out that I can’t walk the whole street because I literally feel like my legs are going to fall off. But this year it has been a beautiful winter and I got to take a leisurely stroll looking at everything. Here are some photos and a video of my favourite displays from this year:

Festival of Lights

We went to the Festival of Lights at the Edmonton Valley Zoo two weekends ago for the first time. I enjoyed walking around looking at the lights. I kind of wish there were more lights. But at the same time it was pretty cold out, so we were happy to be done looking at them all at the end so we could go get warmed up again. My favourite display was the ice sculptures and the light display timed to music. Check out my photos and a video below:
