Sick Day

Today I woke up with a sore throat. But I had things to do. In the morning I was able to clean both of our bathrooms while I waited for the stores to open.

I went for my longest drive yet to pick up some things from our West End store. It took about 15 minutes to get there. The hardest part was trying to figure out what lane I was supposed to be in. But I made it there fine.

On the way home I stopped at the West Edmonton Mall but wasn’t really in the mood to shop. I was feeling very insecure while walking around for some reason. I don’t know if it was because I was nervous from driving there, or because I was wearing glasses. I don’t usually wear glasses unless I’m driving. But I do generally wear them when I shop because I get a headache otherwise.

Since I was hungry I decided to see if Dream Tea was open yet (they were doing renovations). They were open, so I got a bubble tea and walked around T&T (the asian grocery store) while I drank it. Then I left the mall and drove to the store that I work at to drop off the items I got from the other store. Finally I went home for lunch.

I watched some tv while eating lunch and my nose started getting stuffed up. All afternoon to now I’ve been sneezing off and on. I feel pretty miserable, but thankfully had the day off so I could relax. I also have tomorrow off so maybe if I’m lucky, this sickness will go away.

Parking Improvement

I think I may be getting better at parking. Or maybe I was just having a lucky day. I’ve noticed that I park too far to the right side of my parking space so I’ve been consciously trying to fix that. Today I’ve been pretty good at parking in the middle of the space. I’m still having trouble figuring out how far to pull ahead in the space since I can’t see the hood of my car. But I just use the rear view camera to see how close I am to the back line. I haven’t had to fix the parking job as much today. Sometimes I fix it once, and others I don’t fix it at all! I’ve also gotten better at pulling into a parking space. I don’t seem to be pulling into the middle of two spaces anymore.

I also haven’t been as sweaty when I drive anymore. I’ve been pretty comfortable driving lately. My boyfriend bought me a magnet for the back of the car that says “Student Driver: Please be patient.” I think has helped me not feel so nervous. Now people will know why I do the things I do if I go crazy haha.
